Future Educators Visit the Colosseum

Sunday October 17th at 3:00pm, fifteen future educators from Walsh University began the journey to Castel Gandolfo, our home just outside of Rome for the next eight weeks. With us came our university professor Dr. Connie Smith, Rome Director Danilo Mori, and Student Life Director, Abby Poeske who would be leading us throughout our academic and cultural journey. We truly hit the ground running, not wasting any time, yesterday we visited the Colosseum. There is no way to truly describe the feeling you get when you see the Colosseum for the first time, pictures do not do this structure justice....

Christmas Pageant at The Vatican School

Hello! We had the rare opportunity of visiting the Vatican school today! It was a wonderful experience, and we had a great time interacting with these students! We had them make snowflakes and discover the history of Saint Nicholas, and the history behind the candy cane. They gave us a preview of what they are going to sing at their Christmas Pageant, and invited us to come watch their performance on December 17th!

Hike at Lake Albano

Hello all! I’m Coen and I am an AYA Integrated Science Education major at Walsh. Today, my fellow future educators and I did a little work outside of the classroom today: we went for a three hour hike around Lake Albano! All of us had a blast and are definitely exhausted after our long trek, but everything that we saw was well worth it!
