What a great trip for us future educators! Today we had the opportunity of exploring Greece and seeing all the amazing monuments we’ve learned about throughout our education. How amazing will it be to one day teach our classes about these places and get to show them actual pictures and share our own stories from when we visited these amazing places. This trip is truly incredible!

I Love You, Shelby

Hi I am Shelby and I am intervention specialist K-12 education major. Earlier this week I had the pleasure of being in a 5th grade classroom in Locale Albano elementary school. This is just one of the many things the students made for me. I have never felt more touched after being in a class full of unfamiliar faces where it was clear I was appreciated and wanted to converse and exchange our cultures together. I could tell how important the students felt to be able to teach us. I am looking forward to the many more opportunities.

Three Days in Paris, France

Hello again everyone! I just wanted to give you all a quick update about our travels throughout Europe. Over the past weekend, 7 other teacher candidates and myself traveled to Paris, France for 3 days! We all had a fantastic time. All of us walked throughout the city from end to end, and we all got very good at taking the ten different underground metro lines in the city. Many of us went to the Louvre and experienced many other culture aspects of the city; along with visiting many of the major sites in the city.

Montessori School in Rome

Today our education group had the wonderful opportunity of visiting the Montessori school in Rome! It was interesting observing the amount of manipulatives used in this classroom environment. For example, they used multiple tools such as counting beads, instruments, a variety of art materials, and plenty of other hands on manipulatives to express themselves.
